My name is T.J. and I just bought my first bike a 1986 FJ 1200 with 41,000 miles for $1500. ran rough when I got her but with a few hours on here shes doing better now. she still has some common FJ issues but slowly shes getting there.
thanks for all the info its been a great help. please if any more FJ owners live near by let me know. :good2:

Welcome to the group TJ and congrats on your FJ...hmmm I M sensing a new screen name here.
I,m in Florida but go up there every now and then. The week 15-22 sept we have a FJ rally in Tellico Plains
Tenn. most will be camping that week. It would be great if you could join us. This site is a wealth of info covering any repairs or modifications you might come across, and you will. Browse around the site and use the search function or just throw a question out there and someone will help you.

Welcome ! As FJscott stated try to attend a rally even if only for a visit.  Post some pictures of your ride as time go's by and don't hesitate to ask questions. It is a lot cheaper that way  and there is ton's of help here.

Welcome TJ.
I know how you feel about not seeing another FJ in your area, I live in Iowa and had to get both of my FJs out of Minnesota.
Only other time I have seen FJs are at our rallys.

Good luck with yours.
