Pat, I like that big chunky "heel" on your side stand, does the extra weight affect the stand staying put when in the "up" position ... like when your riding, doesn't bounce around?

What's it made of and how did you fix it on ?

I did the same thing but i used a hockey puck instead of aluminum.

Wow,  I never knew that  thxs.  Must the reservoir cover be open or closed during this process?

The theory is compressing the fluid also compresses the air bubbles. Smaller air bubbles fit through the holes easier, rises up into the reservoir and it self bleads that last little bit.

Jiggle that lever, don't pull it all the way it but just giving it multiple jiggles (and you are only just moving it a touch).

I did have a Gunfighter for a short time that was on my Black bike before I sold it. The seat was purchased by a fellow member.

I bought my Corbin about 8 years ago, rode for about two weeks and then stored it. Agree it feels like a plank but being short the side dig in when at a standstill. It made my great suspension feel extremely hard. It also weights twice as much as the standard sheet. Maybe ok for taller riders but I'm back on my standard seat.

Not sure at the moment, because an FJ owner in Australia was interested, am back from holidays end of Nov if nothing goes through I'll let you know. It has been under bedding cover but I just noticed a small rip

I would put it on the center stand and give it a little throttle in each gear and see if you can hear anything. If that doesn't work have a friend ride it down your street, maybe not being on the bike helps pinpoint the sound.

How do you know the rear wheel bearings are ok? Rear wheel has two bearings in the wheel and one in the sprocket carrier. Did you pull the rear wheel off and check the spacers and everything?

Have you taken the front sprocket cover off to check the front sprocket? All the links in the chain good? Is your rear wheel perfectly straight or did it become cocked to one side causing the chain to not marry up to the sprocket? Do you know for certain the sprockets and chain are all 530? Or is this a bike you got from somebody and you know know the maintenance history?

thxs...interesting insights. I will give all these proposals a spin. And yes, my assumptions are bases on what I van see and hear. The bearings are checked by wiggling the wheel....
