Title: Larry the Cable Guy "Rides" The Dragon
Post by: FJ Flyer on August 09, 2013, 07:03:01 AM
Well, wife has the kids in NH with the in-laws.  God damn dog bit me, so I'm not getting much done while they're gone (dog will be gone SOON!).  Happened to catch a promo for "Only in America" with Larry the Cable Guy (I like him better as 'Mater').  Part of it was about the Dragon.  He was at the Deals Gap Resort, and also took a ride with the Tail of the Dragon guy in a Mustang down the Dragon.  They stopped and talked to Killboy.

Larry was getting carsick.  Lots of Harley's in the shots.  No FJs (or FJRs).

All in all, interesting.

WTF??! how does your own dog bite you?  That's shit training there.  That dog thinks he might have a shot at alpha.  Fix that NOW or put him down, or eventually it'll bite a kid -bad enough right?  -if that kid is not yours, you could get sued, literally adding insult to injury.

Dog is still a puppy.  Rescue dog.  Wife got it.  Not my idea.  She's always been afraid of me.  I literally scare the shit out of her.  Sucks.  Wife and kids don't have a problem with her.  They are out of town and I was trying to get her to go into the crate.

Someone did something bad to this dog.

I have 3 pound puppies (which are full grown dogs now days).  It takes a long time and a lot of your patience for them to overcome abuse.  Several years now and mine are still kind of skittish.  Not good with small children.

Both of my current dogs are rescues and they were both a tad psycho when they came here.  Not biters, but took them a while to warm up and be trusting of us. Now they are the loviest dogs ever, always at my feet.  Hope she gets over it.

Frank,
Schedule has been hell, so install has been delayed.  Copious lubing has kept the old motor spinning.  Also have to verify the cap, first, as well.

Now if the dang thing would have just crapped out, it would have been replaced, by now.

But I took lots of notes while talking to you.  Couldn't have managed without your support.  Thanks again, brother!
