Had this fitted about a month a go.. Not to bad but could do with a 50 cal and single or full auto switch. Other than that I highly recommend the mod.

Cheers.

Would have been nice to have over in Colorado, when an SUV coming down the canyon in my lane gave me a close call. Do you know when the phazers and photon torpedoes will be available?

Riders,

There is actually some seriously "dirty" air behind a Hercules, so, this stunt would only be possible inside the packed heads of Hollywood . . .

Now this trick might have worked, if the "pilot" had even the slightest idea about Center of Gravity on that wing.

Kids, don't try this trick at home.
What you do not know, may be hazardous to your health.
Rotten way to treat a Manta Fledgling-II, though.  Those things are classics.

Sorry I can beat that, a ten or so years ago in Perth there was a man who went into the main Cop shop and threatened them with a knife, after a time he went outside yelling his head off and eventually the cops took him out. 154 shots were fired - 9 hit him. If I can find the article I'll post it.

Were they trained by NYPD? Every time they have a shooting it's like that. I am amazed more bystanders don't get killed. When they killed that one crazy guy at the Empire State Building the actual perpetrator shot nobody, and cops shot 9 random people in addition to him.

Our local cops here in the Midwest seem to be better shots. Typically, they get the guy without such a storm of lead. Unless they happen to be the Minneapolis SWAT team. Those guys go to the wrong house and shoot it up, hit nobody, and get a few slugs in their vests from the homeowner for their trouble.

What a lot of shit.
Not everyone is a cop fan, not everyone would call the cops for anything at all.
I'm perfectly willing to make a pact that I'll never call the cops for anything whatsoever as long as they leave me the fuck alone.
Before the usual copsuckers start their bleating that "You'll cry out for cops when you are attacked by evil doers and beg for them to save you", that's never happened to me, to anyone I know and anyone that they know.
The cops lost their way when they went from being peace keepers to law enforcement officers.
It's not just cops either, there's park rangers, postal inspectors,BATF,FBI,CIA,DHS,TSA, an encyclopaedia of acronyms, even the Department of Education has a police arm complete with a SWAT team.
They all need ever increasing funding and where do you think that money comes from?
You.
We have all been criminalised by this.
If you think there is any way you can go through your day without breaching any one of a myriad of absurd legislative so called crimes, you are deluded.
If you think that these armed forces of the Govt are there to somehow  keep you "safe" you are brainwashed, they are there to keep themselves safe.
It's as idiotic as wishing that an imaginary sky being friend will intercede if you ask it to, a fantasy projection.

Being a cop must be one of the toughest, if not the toughest job around. There's no way I'd apply - I thought being a motorcycle cop would be marvellous after a childhood spent watching CHiPs.
Seems your entire day can be spent dealing with the rotten underbelly of society. Since, I'd wager, the Fjers tend to not fall into the dirtbag category, it's prolly difficult for most to even imagine the sh*t that goes down on a daily basis. I too, only guess, but I get some frame of reference being a high school teacher. Honestly, there's some seriously odd folk coming our way. Hope the cops head them off at the pass.

most cops are dicks. I do believe society needs them but they go above and beyond more towards the dark side. They have there own private code and brake the law and cover there own ass's. I know they deal with scumbags and the lowest of the low. There private club to me believes that they are above the rest of the common folks. They play good cop and bad cop. Carrying a gun on your hip in Canada plays into there egos. 60% dicks 40% men.
Title: Re: New project
Post by: yamaha fj rider on August 07, 2013, 12:20:44 PM
Most cops I meet today are on some type of power trip. I AM LAW ENFORCEMENT!!!!! There is a click that all belong to and cover each others asses. We have a local police department that had a drug unit so corrupt it had to be disbanded. What finally brought it to an end was an officer shot and killed a young woman. For what looks like no reason. The investigation ruled this was an unjustified shooting. Where is this officer today? Walking around like nothing happened no murder charges.
I see a cop regularly when he passes me on his way to work doing 15-25 over the limit. He never gets pulled over, complaints do nothing. You can bet this guy would give me a ticket for doing the same thing. Police shootings are common place in the news today. I do believe today they deal with more violent criminals. The fourth amendment is just something to get around. I have almost no respect left for these them. Leave me alone to ride my motorcycle and go meet your buddies for the free doughnuts. Just my opinion.

Keep the wheels turning. Kurt

Scott, sorry for the misleading title, I wish it was never used.

While the original post was a light hearted post showing a dream item of the poster for me to work on, it quickly turned into a thread about the hatred of those against police.

So, in that light is you see anything like this and it references a "new RPM product" the thread will be started by me. If it is not started by me, then who knows the next one could end up calling each others mothers ugly or something like that.

+1  I understand the lighthearted initial intent of this thread, it did get off to a twisted direction. My son is a firefighter, my uncle is a cop. Im friends with a number of them and they are ALL good, hard working dedicated individuals who have a tough job to do. it bothers me to hear the ignorant statements made but those that wish to make them have that right.  We, in this forum are so lucky to have RPM as a resource available to us, lets not run him off by associating his business name with this type of ignorant rhetoric.

As the starter of this topic I support pulling this thread as well, what was intended as humor of a product has been mutated into hate and bashing of law enforcement. I have known law enforcement officers over the years from PD, CHP and Sheriff, all of them decent respectfull people, one was a very good neighbor for many years.  Randy does not need this kind of dialogue associated with his business, I will be more careful in the use of RPM in future posts, my apologies to Randy. If I could go back in time and change things I would. Perhaps our moderators would consider my request.

To the moderators, in respect for Randy at RPM, please honor my request to pull this thread. Thank you.
