Hello from Minnesota,
I bought my 1986 FJ1200 w/35000 mi in 1996 from a guy who left it outside uncovered for two years. It was in bad shape but it ran and it was cheap. I tore the bike down to fix 2nd gear and by the time it was back together it was totally restored to like new condition. Now it has 57000 mi on it and still runs & rides great. Nice site, lots of good info. I don't see that many FJ's running around out here any more. Good to hear there are still some out there.

Dan,
Hello and Welcome. :hi:
There are still plenty of FJ's on the road, and thanks to people like you there is now one more still strong and running. :good2:
Later, Phil :bye2:
Thanks for the welcome.
Hi and welcome ,
the 86 is a great year fj.
beware the mod bug , it's gonna get cha.
I've already done a few mods when it was apart. Sent the head over to Ward Performance to replace valve stem seals & ended up getting some mild port work done as well as a pair of cams from Web cams. That really helped the acceleration/ throttle response. I don't know what a stock FJ has for power, but this one made 119 hp on the dyno a few years ago.
welcome to the group..... :hi:
we are all FJ family here. :wacko2:
