Title: New FJ owner.
Post by: Goody on June 22, 2013, 10:33:16 PM
Hi guys, I've just bought my first FJ and I am loving it , I've purchased a 1991 1200 with 67000 ks on the clock in good nick  .I remember test riding one of these machines some years ago when they were first released in the UK and being blown away with the performance . The bike I  owned at he time was a Honda 900 f2 but the FJ was in a class of its own . I've done about 500 ks on my FJ on several 1 hour trips  . When the bike was delivered the oil level was bang on. My bike has been sitting in a dealers window for 17 months acumilating 88 ks in that time I've had to top up the oil level Which is a bit of a worry (advice welcome)  the dealer gave me 3 months warranty on the bike so I'am trying to predict any future expensive problems looking forward to chatting . John from NZ.  :hi:

Welcome Goody,

Nice purchase you made there.  :good2:
One thing about FJs, if they run good, they are good. They make a nice racket in the clutch, valve train and the starter chain, but when on song, well, you know. I've had one over 200k miles, not all mine.
Just keep an eye on the level, and, whatever you do, don't start an oil thread, trust me on that.  :bomb:

Post some pics of your new baby!!!
