Happy Father's Day to all Dads out there.

I'll be doing a little tinkering on the FJ as well. Got that oil leak to attend to. After that I'll be taking my son for a ride.  We're both very excited about that!

My gift was PM on our Jura Impresa E8 automatic espresso machine. That thing is like working on Rube Goldberg design, except it has 20 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag. But I am getting a nice lunch and Father's day cards from the wife and kids. I guess I got one gift a day early. I have been having intermittent issues with my FJ head light. With the troubles others have had with their HID I decided to install the spare system I had to make the WCR. The problem persisted, DAMN!!! Well it was not the HID. Pulling in after my ride with Karl yesterday I was facing the garage door and saw my light go off then back on. WTF???? Turn the bars back and forth a few times and get the ON/OFF issue again. So my gift was finding out I have a chafing issue or bad connection under the fairing. Better to find out early before I get stranded from it. Happy Father's Day all.  :good2: :good2: :good2:

I already have done the Gixxer rear wheel mod. Do you already have the wheel and parts? On the front end, have you bought the forks, wheel, calipers and master? In other words, how deep are you into this?

Just got home from Escondido. I picked up a complete 88 FZR wheel (wheel, calipers, rotors, fender, complete right fork, left lower fork) and a set of blue spots for a low low price of free.99. I actually just traded for some spare tools I had. WIN WIN situation!!! And I'm trying to work out a trade for a complete rear GSXR wheel, including caliper and brake rod.

Had a nice little ride with my boy.  Even saw another FJ, 85 by the looks of it.  Heading south on the Island Hwy near the VIU exit at around 4 pm.  Riding two up. Anyone on here?

Nice work!!!  :good: Looks like you'll be keeping her for a while after all this. She will definitely be your bike. I'd like to see the WIP so post up some pics. Don't make me ride down there now.... :ireful:

Took my 10 year old son for a long ride on the back roads yesterday.  Saw a fawn sitting at the side of the road that didn't move when we stopped to take a pic, a house crushed by a tree from the recent storms, tons of bikes, and had lunch at a cool waterfront joint.  On the way home, he fell asleep!  Looked back to see his head hanging back on the trunk and his eyes closed.  Shook him awake.  :shok:

Carey had warned me about kids falling asleep, so I was checking frequently.

Had a great fathers day. A couple of my children helped me lead worship at church. Wife cooked a nice brunch and then we went to the lake for a couple of hours. The kids got me a chimnia(?) which we had a fire in Sunday night. Played guitar and sang campfire songs. Could not fit a FJ ride in there anywhere.

Mate, you deserve it. (beautiful pics by the way).
You`ve been lurking between Sept 2010 and now. ...Do that again and you`ll have 16 kids by next posting!....I want to hear about the food you eat!...Down here we had to build a 2000klm fence just for your species!
Hey lotso, the bars been raised!
...Great family, Great Bike, Great Forum.  :good2:

AKA "The Great Northwest Rally"....my sons and Norm and I rode to Kalispel - Sandpoint - Castlegar and back to Calgary.  1600 plus Kms. from Friday to Sunday, no issues except a parking lot shifter fix (need that rivnut).

Lot's of great curvy roads, very little traffic.

Here we are entering MT near Babb; my sons Graham and Colin, two '92s, Colins '84, and Norm's '89.
