just a little excited so I wanted to show you guys. sold my 550 vision to a buddy of mine and it had small supertrapp slip-ons and he took them off. got to thinking and well, I traded a set of hyabusa silencers I had for them (got them for $20). they work pretty good and there is only one small problem..... the chain slightly (very slightly) rubs on left side silencer. not a big deal as they are aluminum and it barely touches. here is a pic or two.

on the right side it doesn't point up as high for some reason but other than that I am very happy :) saving a lot of weight and it sounds good. not much louder than stock but it has a deep growl and when you get on it , it sounds like it means business
Pics are gone....

That's ok, this can be her good profile,, if those pipes come apart you may be able to pop the dend out if its not too bad, I have a set of micron cans on my 84 , only held together with one bolt and the lot comes apart but they're pretty thin stainless

:yahoo: you can adjust how many baffles you put in....right now they are a little bit louder than stock at idle, and when you get on it its about twice as loud. its a sexy growl :nyam1:
trying to figure out how I can get the video from my phone.....
92 fj1200 with supertrapp slip-ons on stock collector (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MgKOZMKPJs#) I think this will work.... a youtube clip. the idle is a lot louder than it makes it seem, I had to put the camera(my phone) so far back because it would get distorted. and idk why I had a dorky look....guess that's just the way I am :rofl2: second rev was about 4-4500rpm

A good thing that the looks of the fj dosent reflects the looks of the owner
Anyway, its a really nice sound you got there. :good2:
Ken
Sounds great well done.
Tony :good2: :good:

Sounds like you need to adjust the fuel screws....too lean. Or maybe a vacuum leak..
Speaking of fuel, my first full tank if gas was all freeway and I only got 35mpg where I used to get 42ish... Gonna check my fuel screws and I still haven't swapped the dynojet "stage 3" crap back to stock yet so maybe I'll have to adjust the jets?

35! 42??!! :dash1: :dash1:
OMG! I really need to work on my carbs! :diablo:
I would be lucky to be getting 25...I guess if I ever got my speedo going I could check a little better. :hang1:
I guess next payday I will get a vacum pump. This pay day I had to get new front and rear wheel bearings. 42....whatever..lol

before you buy those bearings from a bike shop or online, give McGuire bearings a call with the dimensions of the bearings. I got some for the front of mine for I think 5 bucks.. an they are good quality. they are very friendly. they on the very inner part of southeast ptown

oh well. now you know
:yahoo: :yahoo: it sounds a little more aggressive now.. didn't really mean to have the baffles off but I accidentally broke the allen bolts holding them in on the right side.
check it!
