There is a wealth of riding experience and experiences out there (esp with this FJ group).
I'd like to see a forum dedicated to the hairbrained riding experiences, unsafe drivers, punks, and anything else that just had to intefere with a good ride-on. It would be an excellent way to pass-on experience, riding lessons you've learned or just to post an entertaining riding story. Thoughts anyone??

...... I think that is a great idea, I believe that, everyone that rides a bike, as a story to tell..... Good or Bad.. and I bet everyone here can think of at least one!!!

... I have one to tell, ... that involves, Me, A CBR, two Busa's, R1, Kaw 600 and a Medical. Helicopter.
Actually, come to think of it... you could do personal stuff in the intro forum. I could tell of the time I climbed everest with only one arm (got blown off in the war, y'understand, but there's this doctor on venus that fixed me right up when i got abducted by aliens... that's another story though).
Hell, I should make an introductory post, even having been here awhile ;P
i have one: don't think that because your bike is newer, has better numbers, or has more carbon fiber, you can ride it faster than the person in front of you with an older/slower/less fibered-up bike. i think that may be one of the top 5 rules at the fj rallies, from experience with wadded up r1's.

there is something to be said for knowing the bike's capabilities and being able to actually use them.
old doesnt necessarily mean slow :lol:

lessons learned: all of these have resulted in a accident.
check your tire pressure.
check your oil level.
when you get tired stop riding and take a break.
don't eat a quiznos sub before you ride.
when riding with others , don't chop the throttle after a pass when you are the lead rider.
use your turn signals and brake lights to communicate with your group.
wait for the slower rider, so he doesn't out ride his ability thinking you are ditch'in him.
racing is for the track, you will run out of road before you run out of balls.
just because the rider passed you at that speed, dosen't mean he will make the corner. beware the corner parkers.

Don't ride on roads where the car wheel indentations in the bitumen have rivers running down them after heavy rain.
