Title: Petcock safety wire, what glue to use?

Hi there again all
so i have my petcock siting on my desk all clean and ready to safety wired,(,85 fj1100), and my question is what type of glue do you guys recommend :mail1: .? shes all clean and ready to be fixed,,, (popcorn) thanks

G'day,

I used Loctite No. 3 non-hardening sealant, great stuff!  But most petrol resistant sealants should suffice.  Do not forget to replace the "O" very important.

Good luck, I have had no issues since doing my own petcock, but I also carry a fire extinguisher in the bike rack bag.

Glue is not required, but your choice if you like, any epoxy will work wonders. But the safety wire when wound tight, will prevent the dreaded fire ball of FJ death.

Thanks for the input,  i did use a very small amount of black silicone to help seal, probably not needed,, i did safety wire her up good :good2:like in the pictures on site;  i did a extra wrap,,i feel better already about that fitting staying put :good:thanks
