Fitted the module next to where the tool kit is. Used pieces of high-density foam that have PSA backing sourced to isolate module from shock and vibration, and 14" zip ties to secure. Not too elegant, but functional and out of sight.

How long have you had your module located there? The PO of my bike put the Dyna system on it. He had mounted the module nearby the location where the original IC igniter was located. He had pods on the bike, but I have installed an airbox from an '89 on it. There is a tight spot to mount the module over near the shock adjuster, but I decided to put it where I did. I was a little concerned about the vibe and shock issues where it is now located, hence the usage of high-density foam.
The ECU on my old Kawasaki GPz is mounted from the factory in the same area, and is suspended with little rubber isolators on its corners. And it's still kicking after 30+ years. I used that logic to mount the Dyna 2000 module as shown.

Marty, I did the Dyna mid 2009 - that's where I decided to put it when I found that the wires were long enough to reach everything up front and as I have a hugger on the back wheel, it stays nice and dry up in there. I did Dyna coils and plug wires at the same time.

Not that I've noticed...... I don't even recall the module getting hot and I'm pretty sure I've taken it out of its hidey hole after the bike has done a mile or 2 before an oil change.
