Title: Maiden voyage
Post by: Thmsdoyle on April 27, 2013, 02:34:24 PM
Took the 84 out for the first test run after the gsxr rear wheel, fzr front wheel and 90 fj forks. Wasn't expecting this big of a difference. Glad I spent the time to do this. The blue spots are also a huge difference. Thanks for the help and input.

While I was putting the ZZZ chain together my chain tool broke smashing the master studs. Was good enough to baby for a few miles. I called our local Yamaha shop asked if they could finish the master link. I don't know the say we are closing in a bit, let me talk to my mechanic the guy said. Sure bring it he tells me. 10 minute ride, so I limp her in to the shop. 15 minutes the mechanic was done, I asked what I owed them. No charge, I noticed he stayed 20 minutes pass quitting time to do it. I asked him to drink, he'll yea he says, forced ten dollars on him for a couple brews. There still some good shops out there.

He liked all the mods, I let him take it for a short ride. He was pretty impressed with it.
