Shannons Motor show time again in Tamworth.
Mmmm nice porn megsy, good luck at the show
Our little club rounded up a nice little display, the FJ is not as spectacular to look at as some of the old stuff, but the Judges did have a few looks,
will find out tomorrow.

What a fantastic display, and the FJ does not look out of place one bit. I'm guessing the rules for judging stipulate absolutely no modifications such as braided lines etc to the bikes?
(This club display reminds me Megsy, if any SE Qlders want to do a trip to the Aust Motorcycle Museum at Haigslea ( On the way to Toowoomba) in the next couple of months, let me know. I went there a few years ago, be good to get back for another look. )

Thanks for the comments :good2:
The Vintage Japanese Motor Cycle Club Judge on different levels from ridden to Concourse, depends on the show & Judges choice :scratch_one-s_head:
This Show is a local all vehicle show run by the Rotory club & Shannons, rules are pretty lapse, but at the club shows thing get very dirty,
After market exhausts are o.k, due to rust & age originals are pretty well non existant.
As near to show room is usually the level we try to maintain,
but we still get done by shiny over polished alloy non standard stuff because the judges think it looks pretty :unknown:
This 1100 will stay standard as possible, (any one got a nice rust free set of genuine mufflers :mocking:)
I will do one of my 1200's the same to show as a pair,
but will do the other 1100 I have as a non faring cafe & the other 1200 as rider, 17's front & rear & the late larger brakes as they are both early
models, all red & whites.
Just gunna be hard to kill off the doner 1989 & 1992 for the bits :empathy2:

No matter what happens, form the looks of it, they'd ALL be 'judging' your tail lights. :good2:

I was working at a Honda dealership in the early eighties when SL's were huge and we sold 250's and 500's by the boat load.
I reckon this one won on rarity. It's probably the only one in the country.
No one bought them.
A twin disc water bottle bought new was the bike I did the most miles on until the FJ and I have very good memories of many trips on it. They were a great bike that deserved more success but people couldn't come at a 750 touring styled bike being a two-stroke.
I also had an 1100R for a while but only recall it being good not spectacular as the write ups would now suggest. That said, I wouldn't mind having it in the garage now!
