For those of us with 84,85 FJ's the Kawasaki ZRX master cylinder (1100 or 1200) are all 14 mm and have the lugs for the rear view mirrors. I just bought one on Ebay today so I don't know if it will require an adapter or if the stock hole is the same as the Yamaha mirrors. I will keep you posted.

Likely doesn't need to be said, but Yamaha has left hand threads on one of the mirrors. Damn if I can remember which at this keyboard... Not sure if Kawi or Suzi has the same policy, just be alert. (The world need more lerts). ;D
IIRC, it's the left side, and Yamaha is the only Mfg that does that....

Yes, it's left mirror = threaded left.
MikesXS (http://www.mikesxs.net/products-45.html) has adapters of various types, depending if you want rubber mounting or adapted down a size, etc. Probably you could find these elsewhere as well.
News FLASH!!!!!!!!! Guys Yamaha master cylinders have the LH threads! They are the only company to do this. As stated elsewhere there is a set of threaded pieces that convert the LH thread to RH. There is a mate for the left mirror thread so the height stays the same. They have a black finish. In all honesty i don't see any braking issues with the stock brake system! I will admit that the blue dots do look "trick". Paul
