Title: Rusteco
Post by: rktmanfj on April 19, 2013, 02:20:28 PM

Any of you SoCal guys ever heard of this place/stuff?     :unknown:

http://www.rusteco.com/ (http://www.rusteco.com/)

Despite the testimonials, it just seems too good to be true!

I used it in my 1975 CB750 tank (about 6 or 7 years ago) and it worked great. It does not hurt paint, rubber etc and helps prevent future rust. It is expensive.....the only drawback I found

It's not as bad as a new tank, though.

Did you DIY, or send it in?

I have used something called Rustol from Sudco, and it worked like a champ on my Kawasaki's tank. I also used something called Miracle Metal that I bought from a local hardware chain on my FJ1200, and it too worked well.

I might have a sample of this or something like it on my desk at work.

What I like about this stuff is that they can completely immerse the tank for days and not harm the paint at all.
