Title: The 84 Fj project
Post by: Thmsdoyle on April 14, 2013, 08:32:29 PM
Ok thank you Monkey for the how too, still couldn't do from photobucket?? But its working from flicker. Here's a few pics of my 84 Fj prior to mods. Looks better in pics than actual. But a solid rider and a good base project bike. Had the gsxr and fzr wheels sand blasted and powder coated at a local shop for $80.00. The forks I polished started with 320 grit and ended with 2000 grit. Then used blue magic metal polisher with a pad on the drill. She's coming along still a ways to go.

Great looking starting platform. You will enjoy the difference in how the bike handles with the 17" wheels and wider rubber.
