Hi from a newbie to the site. Just picked up an 88 FJ streetfighter rat and looking forward to getting it tiptop for the summer. First FJ I ever owned, just sold an 88 ZX10 tomcat cos I want something a bit less sporty looking and a bit more Ratlike.

Ummmm, I'd have to say the first one lol. Although I have some plans to add some metal bits n bobs for that post apocalypse look, never been much of a shiny plastic or chromosexual biker, I already have a 1984 Honda Shadow VT 700 bobber and this is the sports tourer alternative to that :)
Welcome to the group ! What a fine lot of FJ pic's there........ Mine looks in pretty good shape now !! Thanks.

Welcome to the Loony bin, crazy enough to buy an FJ, you will fit in just fine....
Welcome to the group. Not many here have a FJ Street Fighter. Post up some photos and maybe plan on attending a Rally.

I was in an armchair on the verandah of a house we regularly hire near Phillip Island (For the superbike races) when I asked my very young looking 73 year old mate, what his secret was to an obviously long youthful life. (He rides a Kwaka 1400zzr - don`t ya hate having an old mate that`s faster than ya!)
He looked me straight in the eye, wiped his mouth, (he was dribbling a bit) and said Mate...Maayte.., "I`ve thought about that question... a lot.....the more I thought about it and other blokes like me, the more I realised they really only have one thing in common" (I braced myself, ready for a recital about fruit veges and apparently, Grog!).....
"for their entire life... they were absolute Ratbags!" - true story- :hi: Welcome Gaz.
