OK 5 days of posts to catch up on!.......
Marsh,
Harvy's post got me thinking. I use the Most Recent Posts feature as the Unread does not work for me, partially because I use more than one computer, and also because it seems to be squirrely. That's not my complaint, I have resigned myself to using Most Recent. I go back 'in time' to the point where I last left off, up to the max limit of 10 pages back, and then work my way forward to the most recent post. But there is an issue. 10 pages @ 10 posts per page makes for only 100 posts. Often times we do that is a day! That happened yesterday. I had 'caught up' the night before. I was busy yesterday AM and did not 'catch up' so when I logged in last night there were already more than 100 posts in ~24 hours. I lost some content. I *can* open a particular thread and see it from it's beginning, before the 100 post/ 10 page max, so some of the lost posts can be regained, but some are lost to me. So from where I sit there is no way to, as Harvy says above, accurately 'catch up on 5 days worth of posts'.
Even changing the URL to "...'http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=recent;start= (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=recent;start=)
200'... did not work.
***Can we add unlimited page history here? Or at least say 50 pages? ***
**Also, (or alternatively) can we have the ability to control how many posts per page? -This could be a work-around, 50 posts per page up to the max 10 (or more) would be a LOT more history...**
Let me know?
Dan
Here is one idea for a control of what I'm talking about. This one came from eBay:

Thanks for the consideration.

geez Dan , I for one prefer the replies function so I can keep up with threads I have posted in.
The unread works for me so it can flow with the thread.
I never use the most recent post feature as it is jumbled between all the topics and does not follow any pattern of contiguous thought.
I can drop off for a week and still get every post and catch up.
Anyway , that's just me.
I too have no difficulty catching up (other than time needed).
I just go through all the topic threads and let the unread do its thing to start me off. On the occasion that it doesn't get right back to where I last read, I just scan backwards. As frequently as we munge topics and hijack threads, I can't imagine keeping straight all the topics by "most recent posts" especially after a few days.
