Hello everyone,
I have a Givi tank bag that mounts utilizing the ring that attaches to the fuel cap ring. There is no contact between the fuel tank and the bottom of the bag. I believe 1TinIndian has the same model.
I installed it but it is not suitable for my needs. It has been used once so it is still in excellent condition.
If anyone can use it, send me a PM with your address and I will send it to you.
Mike Ramos.

Okay Mark, I'll look for it.
Thanks,
Mike Ramos.
Mike, which lock ring did you use to mount the bag. I am in the process of ordering a bag and need to know which ring to use. Thanks Big R
Hello Big R,
I will not return home for the weekend. I will look at the package & let you know the model number first thing Monday.
However, if FJ Monkey does not want it, you are welcome to this one.
Mr. Monkey, let me know.
Thanks,
Mike Ramos.

XJR /FJR
Will this work for the earlier models, where the fuel cap is different?
Morning BigR,
The Givi Tank Bag Lock Ring id #BF05.
There is also #12051 but I believe the # you need is the first one.
My FJ is a '91. Hope this helps.
Thanks Mike. I am going to order one from a Canadian supplier, the one that expands to about 30 litres. It is on sale for 129 right now and 15 bucks for the lock ring. Big R
Hi Folks. I'm a bit of a newbie on here and also only just got my FJ. It is the last model sold in the UK with ABS a 3XW.
My question is will the Givi tank mount fit on my 3XW using the FJR/XJR version. Seems from some posts on here that it will - can anyone confirm this please

Ken, I have had this Givi tankloc bag for a couple of years / 30,000kms and my only complaint is the clear panel on top is useless as a map pocket. Other than that I love it.
It is showing no sign of wear on the bag or the ring lock mechanism and it has done a lot of work. It is expandable and has its own on board rain cover.

Just yesterday I also bought this one as well ( I have reasons for wanting both)

I can't remember the tank ring number but recall it was for an FJR/XJR, for which they have a listing.

As the label says, it takes 1 sec. to remove and replace and has no contact with the paint work.

The iphone in the picture is a cardboard one. I haven't tried my phone in there so I don't know whether you can scroll through the cover but I would imagine you could. I wouldn't think it was the best solution for maps though, too small.
I have the waterproof Garmin Zumo, very expensive. I have noticed over the years that it rarely gets wet though, especially when riding.
When it dies I intend to just buy a second hand car unit, very, very cheap on ebay.
Some guys have done this and been amazed at how long they last and just how much water a non waterproof GPS unit will stand.
You could set yourself up with a mounted cradle and GPS unit for under $50 and have it mounted in a better position. The motorbike specific units are $700+
