I bought my first bike bigger then a 250 last august to replace the fun i had in my late rx8. (rip). Its an 85 fj1100. She was rattle canned :dash1: and not in great shape. only thing she had going for her was the motor had 22k miles. :yahoo: . As of today she is stripped, her frame is being powder coated, her dressings painted, rims chromed, and changing the front end. I couldnt find a new front end, so im doing a cafe/ sport cross. she has stage 3 carb jets and filters from k and n, and a supertrap exhaust system. she had a few problems with the carbs so i stripped them down, and replaced the jets, and found a massive air leak. As this is my first real project, i did not invest in a manual. :dash2: does any one have one they can send me a copy of? perhaps a PDF so i can make sure i dont have parts left over :shok: ? any and all help is appreciated. awesome forum btw!
Welcome Stunpuf, check the files section for manuals. There are plenty of FJ100 owners her to help you as well. Take pictures of your project, sounds like she will look real good when you are done.
Thank you very much. Ive scouted the forums before , but figured i should register. I absolutely love my fj!!!!
Welcome ! Sounds like you are getting a lot of experience with the FJ. Glad to see you are putting it back into serviceable condition. Lots of help here and when you get some time post some pictures. :)
