Title: Front Brake Rotors
Post by: aviationfred on February 09, 2013, 10:09:52 PM
I have a set of Front brake Rotors off of a 1988 FZR750R. Does anyone know if these can be used on a stock FJ 17" rim with blue spot calipers? They are 320mm dia.

Fred

Will they fit on the 17" FJ rim?
Dunno, but I do know 320mm rotors will not fit the blue spots on the FJ forks.
The caliper anchor castings on the FJ forks are sized for 298mm rotors....not 320's

The disc will bolt on, but as pat said they wont work with the Fj forks and calipers , not without an adapter of sorts

yes of course they can fit , with fzr forks , a new fork brace and a different fender and etc, etc.

I went down this road in the quest for better brakes cause i kept warping rotors.

I solved my problem by braking less and more throttle , and some ebc pro-lite rotors.

I am happy now.
