I have 2 pristine condition FJ mirrors on my bike (Originals) even the rubbers are spotless and fit perfect but the glass is buggered on one. Theres no movement in either, as in loose fitting or wobbling heads. The reflectors knackered. . The other is has just a dot in it. Its $25 each to fix or do I get new ones off a CBR 600, I heard they were about $18 each for after market ones ,each? Plus postage. The cases on mine don't have any damage what so ever. Any suggestions. I saw Monkeys post on mirrors but his is 86. mines 88 - 89. Don't know if theres any shape difference in the fairing or not. If it was smashed it would be an easy choice..... And no I don't really want to bust it just to simplify the choice..... Had thought of that though. Jeff
Just fit cbr mirrors to your base, look better , and you can see more the just your own elbows, will fit fine as I've done it to both mine , although on my 1100 I had to fill the mirror with silicon , but looks nothing like pammy Anderson thank fuggg ,, but no drama on the 88 vibration wise
Jeff, the CBR mirrors will fit and look almost as good as they do on my bike. They would look just as good but your bike is not Red and White... If you do the upgrade you will not need to add the shim, the 88+ fairing is already the proper angle. Put the CBR mirrors on the FJ base and you keep the rubber boots to boot.

Mark, I used the mirror base shims on my '89 to get the better angle. I used your idea and made a couple of shims. I think it may be the 91 + fairings that don't need the shims at the mirror base.

Whatever you do, invest in quality, get the oem Honda mirrors. Don't get the aftermarket FleaBay Emgo crap.
The difference in optics are night and day.
What year CBR600 mirrors works for this? I have some crappy universal POS that don't even stay in place?

F2 mirrors. There is a write up in the files section, modifications, CBR mirrors. Here is a picture of them on mine. Hope this helps.

Any suggestions for retro fitting mirrors on 1985 FJ1100? The original mirrors are bolted to the brake and clutch master Cylinder. I'd love to hear about the mounting options for integrated mirror signals that could be bolted to the fairing.
Thanks, Eyal

Eyal, have a look here. I'm sure that you could find mirrors with integrated indicators that could be mounted similar to this. Pete.

Eyal,
You might want to try some mirrors like these.

Sorry, I don't know the quality of them, just a link I saved for possible purchase for my other bike.

IIRC you'll need the bases from the OEM FJ mirrors, so it's only partially useful for those who only have crap aftermarket stuff.
Just found and ordered these off E Bay, 60.00 for the set. Will update on quality when arrive.
