Title: Deleting a post ?
Post by: movenon on January 28, 2013, 11:27:04 AM
Perhaps and most likely I don't know how, but is there a way that I can delete my own post if I over posted or made a mistake that warrants total deletion of the post at least for the first 5 or 10 Min's after I make the post?

you have the ability to edit a post for a short period of time after you post it . I believe it is a couple minutes .

The usual rationale for not being able to remove a post is that if you post a bunch of useful advice and then delete it all in a fit of pique later.

Easiest answer is to report the post as a duplicate.

I think the edit time is closer to 30min. After that it is set. Might need to be the Master Admin to have deletion powers.

Thanks. I have edited before and that works great. I just did something stupid and would have liked the ability to clean the board of my error.  :dash2:  :dash2: :dash2:
Some go to school to learn and some of us just sit in the corner on the "stupid stool" with the cone hat in the school of hard knocks... I have a well worn path to the corner.
