Title: High Rise Handle bars?
Post by: Jeff0308 on January 17, 2013, 08:50:35 PM
I have read a few times that the FJ was optioned with High rise or higher handlebars.? Has anyone ever seen them ? Apparently ideal if you want an upright riding position?  regards Jeff

FJs were used in WA as cop bikes.  They had single seats, a larger very ugly fairing with protruding pods for extra lights, and an upper triple clamp that took a normal tubular handlebar.  There have also been a couple of aftermarket bar raisers avaliable.

Fred, that police fairing/crash-bars/panniers must have been available worldwide - same as was used on police bikes here in Aus too. There was one for sale on eBay in Brisbane Aus just recently.

Wonder if there is any of the bars around. Be nice sitting/ posture position. Bit like the ( wait for it) BMW.having said that though the BM is a nice bike. ( sorry)  I saw the FJ on ebay in QLD for sale. I think it sold for $860  second time around on ebay Don't  think the motor was working and it had fairing damage.
