We have been married around the same amount of time as you.  :yahoo: One of our dreams has been to do the BRP.  Now that we have an FJ, the dream has changed and morphed into a motorcycle trip.  We would like to acquire another FJ.  We have relatives in Greensboro, NC about 2 hours from Boone.  We would like to do the parkway at a slow pace, visit our relatives and not getting younger mother and try to integrate the spring FJ rally.  We don't know if we can afford another FJ for the upcoming spring, it will be dicey.  We would also have to get all of the luggage for the bikes.  But everyone needs a goal, right?  I too, am in the situation that I have been blessed by God with a great wife.  Why this angel ever decided to marry a cretin  like me, can only be a miracle.  Thank you for sharing your adventure and pictures.  It is inspiring to us, and makes us want to work for this dream trip harder.

I live in Greensboro NC  !   the proximity to some really great riding makes it a great place to live and work.....its a 'just" big enough city/town.

let me know when you are coming around.... hearing the FJ's harmonics when riding in formation is really a sweet sound.

i would recommend a fall trip for the colors.... its really something to see..... hmmm...its nice in winter too.....with heated gear of course...... then there is the springtime when everything is blooming.

The BRP is just a great ride for all 469 miles  :drinks:

Kookaloo!

We've had a good year.  This was the third time we've been down there and we're thinking about a fall color "run" next month.  However, this time I'm looking into renting some RV of a bike to take Kim's mom and let her experience what we're always talking about.  Obviously at a different pace than usual.  :)  I keep waiting for us to run into the "fast group" on the parkway as our trips often coincide w/ rallies.  So far, no luck.

I'll try to remember to post up.  I know there are several guys down that way.  We get on at 56 at Steel's Tavern.  Calvin / Eric and someone else is right around there, yes?
