Title: Sealmate
Post by: Harvy on January 02, 2013, 10:27:19 PM
Developed a fork seal leak a couple of months ago.
Decided to give Sealmate http://sealmate.net/ (http://sealmate.net/) a try.

Hey - these things work! 2 mins work and no more fork leak - been good for the past 3 weeks now.

Cheers

Cool.. Looks like a winner. Cheap, small and light weight. Might consider doing it as routine maint. once a year. I can clearly see the value of also having dust protectors on the forks. I am probably guilty of not wiping down my fork tubes as often as one should. So far no leaks, but.....

As posted previously, Sealmate (http://www.rpmracingca.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SealMate) is in stock at RPM.

They were very popular and I cleaned out the supplier after the initial posting and have since made sure I have plenty in stock at all times.

Sorry, I only have the blue one, I might check out the other colors on the next order.

My apologies Randy, was not aware that you were stocking them...... :dash2:
There you go folks..... get one from Randy....get one now!......it takes no time at all to stop a fork seal leak - I now carry one in my jacket pocket - you can do it on the side of the road - no toosl needed.

These things have just replaced sliced bread as the best invention ever....

Too bad they don't make one for the pink stripe crowd.     :pardon:

Just leave a red one in bright sunlight for a while.

If you need one in a pinch, I have stopped leaks on two bikes using one made out of plastic from a used liter of oil that was handy.  There are also things on youtube that show you exactly what to do.  Works great.  Definitely worth having one if you have time to order one.
