Thanks Marsh for all you do for us! Kabin 268 booked and paid for. How many more sleeps??? :yahoo:
Derek
#265 reserved... who's your neighbor Marsh?
Are we sharing the cabins? I reserved one for myself and am fine being solo, but there are double beds and bunk beds in each cabin. Are you going to pair people up or should we find our own room mates?

Mike, if you are talking about the same Skaggs road we took during the Napa run then watch out for them 200 pounds pigs reported seen by side of the road. Awesome road, looking forward to the rally.

I am sure if cabins 271 or higher are not taken yet, they will reserve one for you.
Hello ALL -- looking forward to the rally --- LETs get the FJrally.com working for it ( I know more work-- but it still shows 2011 run).
This all being said -- 271 Is gone ( I got it) BUT the kind gentlemen at the KOA has put on HOLD for the next lucky gents 272 and 273. So you have a wee bit of time to get your warm and potentially SCREAMER free cabin.
yuk yuk

I just booked into Kabin 274. And I think there are other Kabins still available to the group, the nice lady (Mellissa)made it seem like there were.
I am looking forward to this trip :)
Are the cabins really $120/night now or did I not get the discount with my deposit?

No worries on not being able to afford the kabin. It was just a bit surprising to hear $120/night. IIRC it was about $90/night last time we were at Petaluma.
I think I've talked a co-worker into attending the rally with me. I lent him my Ninja 250 (for a year) and last spring he bought a Ducati Monster. I did warn him that attending a FJ rally is worse than an addiction to crack.
Forget how much thermite I have.. maybe 10lbs??
I'm in for tenting. Even though I live but 45mins away from Petaluma, that's 45 mins too far once the camp fire has burnt low.
$120 a night now?
Jeez, do they tickle your balls for that too?
If The Romans mate, Chuck, goes, Baldy could room with him.
Put 'em both out in the snoring paddock.

There is a snoring paddock???? I hope Frank does not send me there. Maybe it cost less than a normal cabin???? Are there any sheep? Not what you think Klavdy, I need to count them to fall a sleep. I already have Kabin 274 booked for me.
I just spoke to the gentleman at the Koa, and as of right now, he is leaving the rest of that row open for our group(Kabins 275 thru 279). He also said he hand a handful of Kabins in other areas of the campground available during that time, so there are still plenty of Kabins available for everyone!
They have a ton of them left, so call and get yours reserved. :yahoo:
Hello Marsh,
I dont know how to send a message to all members. Please forward info. Cabin 267 is available again. I changed our reservations to cabin 257. If everyone has already made their reservations, I would assume it would be ok for the person booked at the end to switch with 267 this way everyone is still all together.
Thx,
Chandra
I reserved site 263, a tent site. There is room if anyone is thinking about tenting it. The site is for 6. I asked what the dimensions of the site was and he didn't know but said it was big enough for two tents ?

Just did what I assume to be the route one of the day to Skaggs, and got the performance award to show for it :dash2:
Will be writing it up and posting pics/videos for ya'll tomorrow or the next day.
Coast side of Skaggs was in awful shape, middle section was better but lots of ice clay still on the road. The good section, was awesome and it was kinda funny to see Bunny (My g/f) get off the bike with a big ole grin on her face.

Nope, I failed to notice the Leo in the Sheriff truck behind the car behind me when I ducked out to pass the slow ass mexicans in the car in front of me. Those sheriff trucks are quick :ireful:

good vid of the road . counted 4 cars and 1 motorcycle coming the other way.
the road is starting to look a little worn , saw tar snakes at 9 min into the vid . still in good shape , I just hope they don't tar it up before the rally.
where you ended is where we take the fj photos overlooking the lake.

Yeah, that overlook is a great spot and if you're guud you can pull your bike right down to the overlook itself...
The tar snakes weren't really bad until you got to the East side of the road, then there were a couple that made me uncomfortable.
Did you see the dead boar on the road? That was a new one for me on Skaggs :unknown:
the dead boar was a new feature of the road . skunks and other critters I have seen there before and usually the broken bits of an R-1 .
Hey guys, I know I missed the rally last year (Since I went way down the rabbit hole with my project)
But I'm shooting to get this thing finished by the end of the month.
Does anyone possibly want to share a cabin? (I'd need two spots as I'd be brining my girlfriend.)
I'd be willing to split the cost with you. (It just seems dumb to me to rent a 4-6 person cabin for two)
Otherwise I'll just pack the tent.

Hey guys - just a heads up that I received a message from the KOA that some of the deposits for the Kabins hadn't been paid yet and that they would have to release those Kabins soon. I didn't even know that you could make a reservation without a deposit - but I thought I'd pass the message along anyway. I've been working my ass off and sparse on this forum lately...I'm sorry about that...reading all of your posts is normally one of the highlights of my day. I can't wait to see everyone at the WCR soon! :good2:
I just got my deposit back. Had to cancel out. My nephew decided to get married the same weekend as the rally. If I don't show up my family will disown me. I canceled my sabbatical too. Was looking forward to spending a month riding around the country. With the rally in the middle. Guess I'll have to make it next year.
Looking forward to being there. Old and slow but, there :good2:

This week in Petaluma...
The 40 year anniversary of the filming of the movie American Graffiti.

The movie was a George Lucas production and is based on the cruising scene of Modesto California.
George Lucas was a classmate of my mother in the late 50's, I was born and raised in Modesto and currently work there for my "day job".
Now, I will be in Petaluma in a couple weeks and I only mention it because there is a lot of coincidences.

Hey Baldy, what flight are ya on? I think that day is wifey's birthday...Might take her for coffee at one of those posche international coffee shops! ...while I`m there I might make sure that lottery ticket money will get through Airport red tape - both ways!
It`d be a shame if we have ta go over there individually (or vice versa) just to comply with customs! (popcorn)
I just found these old links I created 8 years ago for our Petaluma Ride routes. Tried and proven - they are good ones!

Riding up, no room for firewood, but I can pitch in some money to cover the cost.
Rain for 380 miles..... At NAS Fallon for the night. Bike needs an adjustment noting a hammer will not fix :rofl2:
