Title: In your dreams
Post by: ribbert on December 24, 2012, 04:22:56 AM
Guy here wants $2700  for an FJ engine. It's from a Bimota (big deal).  He claims it has only done 12900k's. It looks like it has suffered a lot of heat from the full fairing, been around the clock or used as a ships anchor.
I think he might be waiting for a while.

I think he may be waiting forever. Here in the UK you can get a genuine low milage ultra clean engine for around £350 ($560US) Dunno what that is in AUD.

Well, I've got a complete FJ engine from a '92 with about 80,000 kms (50,000miles) on it that I've been saving for just the right time.  I'd let you have it for $2K even :-)  In fact, I'll even include shipping.  Leave me a PM here :-)

Guessing he's thinking that the name Bimota will draw the extra $$.  Either he does not know or thinks there is enough of a difference, from the motor's FJ origins, to make it distinct and therefore 'worth it'.
