Hi from Montana.
Bought a wrecked 91 FJ1200 for a Reverse Trike Project.
Hope to learn a lot here as this bike has been setting awhile.
Fired it up, runs rough. Drained the old fuel, added new and some seafoam. I'm sure the carbs will need some TLC.
Going to search for a manual.

Searching site for some "How to's" thinking I should check the valve clearance. Has a K&N Filter would like to convert to 4 cone filters. Which means a re-jet. Never re-jetted a carb. Looking for a step by step procedure.
I am always open to suggestions.
Thinking of ordering a workshop manual from EBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-FJ1100-FJ1200-WORKSHOP-MANUAL-84-1985-1986-1987-1988-1989-1990-1991-1992-/150949406092?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item232549258c&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-FJ1100-FJ1200-WORKSHOP-MANUAL-84-1985-1986-1987-1988-1989-1990-1991-1992-/150949406092?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item232549258c&vxp=mtr)

Haha, I don't know what you call that, but I wouldn't say trike. Maybe hemispherical 3-wheeled dune buggy? Looks really pretty though, wonder how something like that handles, would love to take it for a spin.

Closer to a sand rail than a trike. I would love a Campagna T-Rex 14RR but last time I checked the wife wouldn't let me spend $66,000. Not sure what her problem is :-)
Always wanted a crotch rocket but I have a bad speeding habit. If I'm going to pay that much money to have all those numbers on the speedometer I'm sure as hell am going to use them.
I enjoy building stuff so will be a fun project, good way to get friends over for some serious beer drinking.
Pic of my Black Girlfriend 07 Kaw Mean Streak. I built a Toe-kicker coffin to tow behind it. Took it to sturgis a few years back.

That looks like a wet dream on wheels.. I can imagine that with some black bodywork looking a little Lambourgini Reventon-ish it's got the front profle anyway..

The FJ motor will make that thing boogy mate, go for it. All the FJ-lore you need is in the files section, and modifications troubleshooting FAQ.Go for it!

Welcome ! I think it looks cool. Keep everyone posted on the project :) A streamlined Legend racer. I wouldn't mind the same frame work for an electric car project :) (with an FJ back up)....
I have not started my build yet but I think I will model off this design. There are a lot of people building the 2F1R Reverse Trikes so lots of design to look at, gather ideas. Some very well done and some that should scare a guy the way the Frames are designed.
There are several designs for electric but I didn't book mark the sites.
Next on list to buy is a tube bender, pretty sure going with the JD Squared Model 3 bender 1 1/2 tube die. Could probably go with a smaller dia but the weight difference is not that great considering the strength of the 1 1/2 DOM Tube vs 1 " Dom. going to use .090 thickness
Will need a tube notcher also. Have a Mig welder.
Dang, going to need a bigger garage too. Already moved the wife's car out. 2 car garage just isn't enough.
Screw all that.
The important thing for me to know is how to zoom your avatar and slow it down!

Just remember to blink from time to time or your eyes will dry out and you could go blind.
Quick Question. To donate? is the account paypal@masterminddesigns.com ?
I know I can click the donate button but I never type a password into somewhere my password manager doesn't know.
Call me paranoid, but I hate to prove my Vastly Superior Stupidity.

Yes, that is correct, the donation gets to the right place.
It all helps keep the global level of kookaloo up where it needs to be. On a different note, santa did not bring me the new ktm superduke. 2 :sorry:
