Hey all.... recently picked up this very original FJ. 30K miles, runs great, gotta firm up the clutch springage and could use some fresh rubber and detailing. If anyone knows of a chin fairing to fit, lemme know; this one has a piece missing on the lower left. Goes like stink:

Before you get too concerned about a new lower fairing, make sure the clutch slave isn't leaking, (which it has been in the past). The brake fluid in the system eats the OE plastic fairing.
I have an aftermarket fiberglass fairing on my 91. It took a lot of fitting, but in the end it looks very close to the original with a lot better strength over the plastic.
Looks like ANOTHER nice red and white 86 to add to our collection.

Thanks for the tip - I suspect that is, in fact, the cause of my disintegrated fairing.
