Title: Please help me I've got the Sickness (again)
Post by: giantkiller on December 08, 2012, 09:04:28 PM
Well I just picked up a complete upper fairing assembly and chin fairing from an 86. To have a spare(just in case).

Then I got to thinking I've got the crashed 87 (parts bike) I got with the 86. It only has 836 miles on it. The forks were bent and the upper was gone, completely crushed. Now I've got this complete upper... And I already have put a GXSXR inverted front on the 86....So I know how to do it... OH CRAP..Here I go again.

Easy solution send me the fairing then you wont need to go to work.  :good:

I have a set of forks in my garage if you needed a set.Would have to look and see what shape there in.

I'm going to go with the GSXR forks again. Going to see if I can use 2009 up, the extensions would be a simple screw in to the top on those I don't know if the upper fork can be slid down in the bottom tripple enough. In the pics it looks like the forks are thinner above the lower clamp. Have to find one to look @ I'll do up the GSXR wheels again.

[imghttp://fjowners.com/gallery/4/2349_16_12_12_9_47_13_2.jpeg][/img]Hey I think I finally figured out how to post a pic
Anyhow I need to know the minimum distance between the lever and the fairing edge. And the minimum distance between the lever perch and the inside of fairing, on a stock bike. Since mine has a gixxer front end and  custom clippons. I've got a crazy idea. And if it works. I would like to make it so it would work with a stock set up too.
