Welcome to the group :good2:

Welcome to the Kookaloo klub. Another Red and White added to the roster.
Welcome ! Jeez, there must be a secret factory still producing these FJ's.... They just keep coming. :)

Nah, if that were true, they'd not be those red prototype models. :bomb:
oh wow , the red and whites rule . you other guys are just jealous . (popcorn)
Maybe thats why I have a mish mash of colours on mine.....so as to try and appease the FJ gods....showing that I am not colour biased.
I pilot a "Heinz-57" FJ. (the british folk will know what that means!)
I source what I can, and my "techni-coloured dreamboat" would horrify the FJ purists out there.
But original 1TX red n' white plastics are rare (in good nick), so I have fitted what was/is available at the time.
Red front fender....black fairing...silver side panels and tail piece...gloss black chin scoop..... :shok:
Oh yes indeed! - I have a 1TX-3XY-ZZR-ABS-WTF model!
Hang on a minute!.....I don't have any ABS colours (the blue and white), and now I may have to source a panel to complete the colour scheme....
colored duct tape is your friend , you should have seen my fj at the first rally i attended . fresh from a crash I had a few months earlier and all duct taped together.
It was an awesome sight that should have awarded me" the most tore up award ".
It doesn't have to be pretty just keep on Rolling. :good2:

We know what it means over here in the states, too :good:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinz_57 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinz_57)
I read it here... the voted most popular color FJ wasn't the red ones. :bomb:

Ahh yes...the power of tinternet! I just thought Heinz was a brit thing....y'mean, they made it over there too! Cool!
As for the preferred colour scheme....can I stick my neck out and say......
I don't like the red n' white as a first choice. It's too...
erm....yamaha-ish.
Yeah, I know, I got one. (well, it's only
part red n' white)
Personally, I like the black and gold version.
I like ALL my bikes black and gold. Next if I win the lottery is a kawasaki GPZ900R...in the black and gold.
Ooops, did I just mention a kwak on a yam site?
my bad! :nea:
At least with
my multi-coloured swap shop I can just wear me standard black leather jacket.....with belstaff waxed trousers, tackety boots and cloth/Thinsulate gloves.
Yes...I
do look as if I have fallen out of a thrift store dumpster when on my bike.
If I was to prefer the red n white colour scheme,
and had a bike in nice condition, I may get carried away and want to go the full hog by wearing the matching leathers...
I mean COME ON! - there's no-one THAT obsessed...is there?
Aww crap......

If I see him I let you know....
Oh. erm...er....uh....hello there Mr FJMonkey...didn't see ya there! (*coughs nervously)
Did you think I meant.....?
You mean that I....?
You thought that......?
awwwwww shiiiiiit!
*whistles and walks slowly backwards out of the room.... :mocking: :bomb:

No worries mate, its all good, I like a good laugh, even at my own expense. Life is too short get my Power Ranger panties in a bunch every time someone pokes fun at me.
I can hear Nobby now.... "Fer FUcks Sake!"
this is a great group!

Welcome to the group!
I have the multiple bikes virus too, so I´m dreaming about to add a FJ 1100 to my bikes, more when I know who is the owner of my loved ex-FJ 1100. (my poor ex-bike unloved and unused in a dark garage!) :-(
In my benefit, I don´t have enough space in my garage and a wife that moans when I say that I´m thinking to exile our cars from the garage to the street to make more space for more bikes, and the promise that if I do that I´m going to sleep with my bikes in the future (well, I´m considering the offer...)
Welcome again
Alf

Yea, what's up with that?
I've always wondered why they consider that a threat...." You better not do ( fill in the blank) or......you will be sleeping in the garage.... "
Last I checked, my FJ's don't care what time I come to bed....and they don't fucking snore.... Is it so bad?
Welcome amigo!
Welcome to the group, another Ambulance rider has joined the group. :hi:
My introduction to the FJ's was with a 85' 1100. Unfortunately Me, the FJ and a mountian on Angeles Crest Hwy had a dissagreement a few years back. Wadded it up beyond repair.
You will love the Kookaloo zone and all the info that is to be found here.

Dude, you have about a dozen owners in your general area. And Randy at RPM is the best Go-To place for FJ and Yamaha parts (he is a Yamaha dealer). Check the forum just a little more often. The rally is in Petaluma this year, get a cabin if you want to stay over night, or just ride in and say hi. Some of the best parts are the moments around the campfire. Here is the info http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=8130.msg74785#msg74785 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=8130.msg74785#msg74785)
