You gotta love a place where you are sitting there drinking your hard cider, waiting for your meal, and the server brings you a plate with 4 huge strips of their various flavors of bacon to try while you wait.............
The service at this place was top notch......The staff is super cool, and the food is unbelievable......
The guy also brought me out a complimentary mini spiced-bacon cake ball in the shape of a little pig, that he said "Here's something that we're working on in the back for you to try"
I am definately going back before I head back to Denver on Monday :good2:

Ah, bacon.  I have a local butcher that will cut me apple wood smoked bacon from a slab, any thickness I want.  Every two weeks I'll visit him, (he now calls me "Dan the bacon guy!")  and have it sliced about 3/8th thick. I buy 2 packages, each 2 lbs per visit.   It's not cheap, $7.00/ lb, but it's oh so worth it.  I make it in the microwave -a bunch of paper towels and about 23 minutes and it comes out perfect.
No, I'm not jealous, not at all.  Here's a pic next to a quarter.

We have friends in Austin, I'll have to check this out when we visit! Speaking of bacon, Cynthia found me some bacon bandaids, they are very popular at the shop.

[/quote] Hoping this doesn`t get lost in tha Aus translation, but this is from the only territory not represented at tha Rally:-
A Northern Territories (Oz) farm hand, radios back to the farm manager.
'Boss, I got one helluva problem here... I hit a ruddy pig with the truck. The pig seems OK, but he's stuck in the roo-bars on the front
and is wriggling and squealing so bloody much, I can't get 'im out.'
The manager says, 'Ok, there's a ... 303 rifle behind the seat in the rack, take it, shoot the pig and you'll be able to remove it.'
Five minutes later the farm hand calls back, 'I did what you said Boss. Took the gun, shot the pig in the head and removed him from the
bull-bars. No problem there, but I still can't go on'.
'So what's the f**king problem now mate?' raged the Manager.'
'Well boss, it's his motor-bike... it's stuck under the wheel arch and the bloody blue light wont stop flashing.................. ullo... you still there Boss?
(Lucky my thick skin mates are thick skinned.......right??).....ummmm....might park tha bike for awhile.  :sorry:
