Title: large allen head plug right behind header pipes towards bottom of engine

is leaking oil slowly, but only when bike is running. is that the galley with the pump in it? does that question even make sense?

If this is what you are referring to, then yes, it has oil pressure with the engine running.............There's an o-ring behind the plug.
Take the plug off, replace the o-ring, and reinstall it...........You should be good to go.

When mine leaked I just tightened it a bit and it sealed again.

Long allen key and the headers stay on..
