Just don't under-tighten them, either. I was having issues with my BRP (XR600R) way back when, went into the carbs and eliminated them. Took her for a ride and things got worse.... Took it in after-hours at the LBS (good buddies, we'd hang out and drink beer and work on our bikes), pulled the bowls and found the main jets in the bottom of the bowls.....  Buddies got a good laugh, we put them back together.  That wasn't the problem, though.
Turned out to be an ignition pick-up going bad when hot...  Buddies still give me shit about it, though...   :dash2:

Yes, as long as it is a Mikuni size jet. You can also use one of your old main jets if you want to get it running.

You are going to need a main jet in there to hold the e-tube in place. You can use one of your old main jets to get it running, sync'ed and depending on the size difference you might be able to do the initial blip test.

What did you do about the bowl that was broken?
