I was searching online for tires and looking at different brands. I came across the Tomahawk brand. I had never heard of them before. From the info I saw, they are remanufactured tires, ZR rated and made in the US.
Does anyone on here have any experience with these tires?
Fred
Only ever hear bad things about them.... I would NOT put a reman tire on a street bike, especially one capable of hitting 100mph as quickly as an FJ.
I assume they are retreads, you can find whole sections of tread from trucks (cars no longer use them) along the side of any freeway. Not so bad when you've got 20 or 30 other wheels, but on a bike..........
They're also never round and the grip levels?, think diesel on wet bitumen. And, if you want crap tyres, there are plenty of cheap ones out there, and they're new.

I read somewhere that many track owners won't allow them, because of the colored marks they leave behind.
Never heard anything good about those bike tires. Never know which carcass you're getting, for example.
Cars can and do still use retreaded tires, usually in countries where new tires would be considered ridiculous luxury.
Baaah.....tires are not that important on motorcycles, not like engine oil (popcorn)

...or polished aluminum...
Retreads are illegal on the steering wheels of any vehicle in the US. I think both tires are involved in steering a motorcycle.
