Welcome aboard Mark.   :bye:  This is the place for any questions.  One thing I've found is that almost any problem you have has already been experienced by someone here and there is a fix for it.  The search option is your friend.  If you can't find it ask around someone here will have an answer.  Looking forward to reading about your bike and what you've done to it.  Pics man! Pics!   (popcorn)

Mark welcome, it's good to have you on board. Blue FJ's rule, Yamaha saved the best for last. Lots of ideas here, if you want to change or modify your FJ this is best place how to do it.  :good2:

Thanks for the welcome, I should have found this site before I started the FJ project but doesn't matter I have found some great info here like the seized engine mount collars for example, would never have found that one on my own. Will put up some photos very shortly, the bike is currently in about 4 different places in the shed but it's coming together. To answer Harvey's question yes am in oz in the hunter valley for a few years, cheers all

Yes, welcome Mark.  I spent a weekend fanging around the Hunter in April after plotting the most interesting route from Melbourne, coming in on the Putty Road.  Great part of the world.  I stayed at Tuscany resort.
You have shown yourself to be a discerning rider by choosing a '93.  A few mods, not necessarily expensive ones, and you've got yourself a helluva of machine. The support and help here will overwhelm you, even from the blokes with the red and white or pink stripe models.

Just don't ask what oil is best or advice on chain maintenance, it will clog the forum up for 6 mths and end up with a number of people never speaking again.

Gooday Mark ! It's great to see so many Aussies on the site. When you get the bike running I'd be only too happy to go for a ride with you if your in Queensland at some stage. The fellows are right about a few minor mods (some red and white paint ? ) and you have progressed to motorcycle nirvana.I'm well on my way now, lots of help from Randy of course.Damned addictive hobby though !
