MY.........what big brakes you have!
Super clean, and Gorgeous FJ!
That paint gets me every time..........I know most would disagree, but I still think the Red/Silver paint scheme is the best they ever came out with.
When it's as clean as yours, it looks even better!
Very nice!

My other bike has bodywork from 3 different years and I have been looking at paint schemes for a year. One thing I concluded is that Yamaha nailed the pattern, the gap in the fairing really makes it hard to go with a lot of schemes because of the lack of continuity. I agree, the Red/Silver/Black looks fantastic and I have a photo of Pats bike on my garage wall for inspiration. I'm not fussed about using Yamaha colours but it will be very close to original.
Noel
That is at least, as nice as Pats 84.
What a great pair they would make for a photo-op!
Leon

No, not at all.
I have seen Pats 84, first hand, and he has the polishing covered.
As for this other 84, it is awesome in it's own way, as I just don't see the 84s very often and when such nice ones like this show up, it's a true treat for an FJ lover!

Just kidding about the polishing. I have been looking for an 84 for my self. Hard to find. If I buy another bike right now my wife will be so pissed. Next year will be different, but right now not good.

CHROME....? Did you just say the "C" word? Shudder
Chrome is for choppers and low riders, polished aluminum is for FJ's. With polished aluminum you are looking into the soul of the metal....
.......the soul mind you....
...not some cheesy plated coverings, like chrome or anodizing.
And Trust me....Leon needs no help from me in the polishing dept....in fact, he coached me on how to polish my ss header tubes.
A very cool bike Frank, congrats! I'm also in SoCal so lets get together with the guys for a ride.
Also, thanks for the kind words guys....and Noel, I am honored.... The silver and red 84's rule!
Pat I have seen photos of your FJ it looks great. Just trying to razz Leon. Sorry about the "C" word. Trying to be funny.
Kurt
Thank you everybody for all the wonderful comments! I'm really happy with the bike....its my second FJ1100. My first one was an 85l model (Red and White). Somebody asked about the rear rim....Both rims are Custom Performance Machine Spun Alloy wheels. Brakes are also custom Performance Machine Quick Release Calipers. I got really lucky buying this bike....I don't have to do a thing to it except change the oil and clean it. Thanks again everyone. Its great to be on this forum! :good2:
