Hahaha. The guy from the UK doesn't get it.
Football (of the American kind). Think Liverpool and London.
As for me, I couldn't care about either. I prefer playing to watching. :flag_of_truce:

Thank you for the translation, makes sense now. I'm more of a happy hammer, but I misses the mill wall v west ham days. To be honest I don't really watch any sports, like the other guy I prefer to play. Beside American football is the women's version of rugby except the Brits don't need all the padding to protect their hair and make up! :mocking: :drinks:

Personally I don't give a rats about footy in general but I do understand how others do.
I can remember sitting in the company training room in Boston MA (yes I have worked in the US, but please don't tell anybody ) on the day of super bowl and the then CEO coming in and threatening instant dismissal to any staff member who left the training to watch the game, needless to say when the time came there were only us foreigners in the room, even the trainer from the 3rd party training company had done a runner.
We thought it was sooooooooo funny.
I gotta admit we foreigners did wonder what sort of CEO lets training happen on such a day, from memory it was a Friday (?), I mean he was on a hiding to nothing (that's aussie for he was screwed from the start ) :i_am_so_happy:.

Don't mean to pick holes in your amusing anecdote (but I'm going to anyway). I won't pretend to know much about the fine details of American football, but one think I'm pretty sure of is that Super Bowl is always on a Sunday, hence the phrase 'Super Bowl Sunday'?!?!?!

Here's a little prequel of what you will be watching this weekend enjoy :drinks:
New England Patriots Best Plays [Seasons 09-11] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FllSW2bPGo#ws)
3:24 is all it takes for their best plays?
Almost 30 second of it was Brady high-fiving on the sideline.
BTW, if the kickoff return wasn't brought back, it should've been... there's an obvious block in the back at the 14-yard line (2:44). :bomb:
THIS is a highlight-quality play, please make a note of it:

My friend Jeff is a race car engineer; 15+ years ago he was doing suspension R&D for the ORECA Viper that was competing at Le Mans. We were getting a group of guys together to go to Daytona to watch the 24 Hour race, and one of the guys said "Isn't that the same weekend as the Superbowl?"
Jeff answered, "Superbowl? I don't know - I don't follow hockey."
