Title: Quick U.S. Tour (Home Leave)
Post by: Lotsokids on August 27, 2012, 03:05:41 PM
My family and I traveled from Hungary to Washington and Minnesota in the last 2 weeks. Nearly perfect weather, and we got to see family again. What a great time! I went fishing with my youngest son who consistently pulled in bigger fish than me. I also got to ride my OTHER Yamaha 1200... my V-Max. What a rush, but I'll be honest, I think my FJ1200 is quicker. But my V-Max has 56,000 hard miles in it's defense. It's still a seriously fun ride. The 4-into-4 exhaust really shakes the earth! I couldn't sell it, so she went back into storage to rot. I was actually arguing with my wife about selling it. She did NOT want me to sell it. Kind of backwards from what you normally hear.

Unfortunately I missed the last drag race event that I regularly attend here in Hungary. :sorry: Oh well, there's next year.

By the way... I REALLY enjoyed Wal-Mart, Taco Bell, and my rented gas-guzzling 4X4 GMC Yukon!!! Paying half price for gas everywhere (compared to Hungary) was certainly a plus also!

VMax!
I would so like to take a ride on one of those beasts!

Glad you enjoyed your trip back to the states.
Will you ever be moving back to the US?

Leon

Eventually, yes, but not sure when. I applied for some better jobs recently. One in Germany and one in Mississippi. Either of those would be much better than here... in my opinion.

How do you access the gas tank with the Corbin seat? Does the whole seat flip up? or does it have to come off?

It has a small cushion in the center fastened with velcro.
