Title: carb heat shield
Post by: bigbore2 on July 23, 2012, 07:28:08 PM
Hey- when I put my rebuilt carbs back in, I forgot to re-install the carb heat shield. There it is sitting on the shelf.  Is anyone running their bikes without a heat shield?  Bike runs fine without it as far as i can tell, even in the 90-95 daytime temps we have been having here.

It's there for a reason. Bite the bullet and put it back on.

Besides, they're pretty expensive if you have to replace it. Why risk the possibility of throwing it away?

Just my opinion...

Could cause vapor locking. Re-install the heat shield. Hope this helps.  :unknown:
