Title: Another shout out ot to Randy @ RPM!
Post by: coreyoreo on July 19, 2012, 01:00:27 AM
Just wanted to give Randy @ RPM another shout out for offering up the help I needed regarding rejetting my mikuni carbs for me.

I can be a little on the slow side at times, but Randy was patient & answered all my questions & did a bang-up job on the carbs for me.

Thanks Randy!!  :good2:

Corey,

Thanks for the compliment and someday, the technology might be around so we can get the FJ to start like those new fangled FI bikes.

The Dyna ignition setup on my '85 makes the start button act like an ON switch.  If there is enough fuel in the float bowls, the engine will light up instantly.  Practically no "cranking" at all, just press the ON button and it's running.

Of course the big caveat is this ONLY happens when the freaking Dyna is actually working on ALL 4 cylinders.
