I just wrestled my engine out to fix a persistent oil leak (small crack in rear motormount, ouch!) what is the best way to get the engine back in? I need to be able to get the engine roughly in place under the bike while the lump is siting on the lift. I was thinking about lifting the front to get clearance from the front frame members, maybe even take the forks off?
Anybody got experience with this?
Thanks!
Go rent an engine puller (crane hoist) and use 4 tie downs to lift the frame up and over the engine. For me, it was easier to suspend the frame and line it up in the air, then set it down over the engine. You'll need to make sure the engine is sitting high enough to slide into place.

I'll try and drop the frame over the engine by lifting the front (Actually having my buddy do the lifting ;)).
Also; Does anyone have a spare neutral light sender cover?
For the neutral light cover, do you mean the green plastic piece in the dash? If so then I have a spare dash I can pull it from.
No, I mean the sender sitting behind the countershaft sprocket cover
