Hi Guys,
I was riding home from work.. stopped to get a few things at the auto parts store and went to leave for home and noticed when I started the bike back up the tach wasn't working, I had no brake light (it's on, but not affected by either brake) no turn signals, and no neutral indicator. I'm assuming this is a simple fuse. The speedo worked fine and the gauges were still illuminated. I'm sure someone here has the answer as to what fuse I need to replace and where it is? (Or do I need a new set of gauges?)
Thanks!
Josh

The speedo will not be affected by electrical issues, mechanical only. The rest sounds like a broken wire, circuit, fuse, etc...
Fuses are easy to check. Pop the seat off and they're in a little holder near the battery. Pull em and see what you find.
unless you have an 1100 then the fuses are hiding in the left fairing panel , under a cover
You have a owners manual...right?

Sounds like the classic sticky start switch.... was the headlight working?
It's an 1100 :)
I reached under the left fairing and just touched the fusebox... bam.. worked great the rest of the night no problems. Must have just been a loose connection.. maybe I'll look into it later, but it seems fine now :)
Thanks for the advice, though!
Not that i know alot about Fjs but if you have a loose wire and you just moved it and everything went back to work i would fix it now not later as it could leave you sitting on the sit of the rode !
if you can be bothered, the fuse holder on fj1100,s can be shifted from the fairing , no wires to cut, and mounted behind the left side cover, easier access (popcorn)
