Title: jet sizes
Post by: fj11.5 on May 17, 2012, 09:07:44 PM
checked float heights and installed a set of 125 main jets , yet to test ride , issue is the. ones I took out are supposedly standard 112.5 but the hole is larger than the 125,s I swapped them for, anybody know the standard hole size in mm,s so I can work out what I'm dealing with , trying to fix what seems like. a rich top end above 4000 rpm , tried changing needle heights ,,

Your logic fails me.  You suspect a rich top end condition, but are installing 125s to replace 112.5s?

Sounds like someone may have drilled your mains.

sounds strange I know, but makes sence when you see the 112 hole is larger than the 125  , that's why I wondered what the hole sizes are in mm,s

A 112, even from DJ, is smaller than a 125 mikuni.

Someone's drilled yours, I'd wager.  But a 125 is an ok starting point, a little on the rich side for a 4-1 + pods bike in the summer.

thanks mate, that confirms my thinking , can't ne as rich as it has been  :wacko3: , felt flat once warm, had tried jets that I drilled myself just to see how it changed , just larger than what it has ran rich enough to cough and run rough so the 125 will be much leaner
