:hi: Hello,
I recently purchased a 1987 FJ1200 in very good condition, and low mileage, to relive my misspent youth according to my wife. This is my second FJ1200 and will be in my garage for a very long time. My first FJ1200 was a 1986 model, purchased new in Sierra Vista, Arizona and used as my only transportation for a couple of years. As well as a daily ride I rode it cross country twice and then had it shipped to Vaihingen, Germany, just outside Stuttgart, where I enjoyed riding around Europe for three years. When I returned to the States I ended up selling my FJ... But I always said I would have another and now I do... :yahoo:
I also have a Honda NT700VAA which is a little brother to the ST1300, according to Honda anyway, and is known as a Deauville in Europe. I think of it as more like the old Honda GL650 Interstate touring bike as it is very good for long distances and commuting, but not particularly Sport Touring... I also have a Suzuki DL650 Wee Strom to go "play in the dirt" or at least fire trails and moderate, not hardcore, off road riding. I enjoy getting out and riding in the North Georgia mountains and look forward to riding my "new" FJ in the mountains once I get her all sorted out.
I look forward to reading all the info, and picking up some tips, on the forum!
Regards,

Another "Red Alert". Welcome friend. My brother`s got a Deauvell Honda (he keeps sayin he`s gunna sell it) and I reckon they`re like sweet wine to ride and real smooth. The FJ will be more like Corn liquor in comparison - with an unsuspecting helluva punch. This site come`s complete with Distillery, Prohibition gangs and Elliot Ness (he`s visiting ya soon) :drinks:
:hi: Wayne enjoy really ggod folks here
