Title: Hello from the UK soon USA
Post by: fudgeclunker on May 14, 2012, 01:04:06 PM
Hi,
I'm a member of the FJ owners club in the UK , but will be moving over to the U.S. to start a new life in M.A later this year
That is where my Wife hails from , so after 4 years over here, she has decided that we are going back over there !! LOL..
The Admin on the UK site passed on the details of this site so I decided to introduce myself.

Been a long time Yamaha owner. Starting with an RD200DX , RD250LC, XS850, Fazer 600 an '02 R1 and finally a CV3 , which I got from the insurance payout after some idiot trashed my R1. I ran the FJ for a few years, did a tour of Scotland and Lands end to Jon O' groats on it , as well as general commuting . Sadly had to sell it a couple of years back, but still miss it like all hell.
I am exporting an immaculate '84 CB900FD when I move over, but would like to get my hands on another CV3 or even an FJR 13 when I am finally settled in.
Any way hope to chat with a few of you .

Welcome To the play/nut house.

You should be in luck, here in new england there are FJs to still be found. :yahoo:

Also check out the NEFJR getting to be quite a ride weekend.

Welcome to this side of the pond, you will find that none of us yanks know how to make a decent cup 'o' tea. But we know how to ride and have a good time. Bring your own PG Tips or Typhoo.

Hi , and thanks for the welcomes.
Thanks Frank, I wondered if sourcing an old FJ might prove tricky, Was even toying with the notion of getting a UK model over when I have got settled, but that was just a thought nothing in stone..
The NEFJR sounds like it could be fun Bob, would they mind if a classic '84 Honda 900 FD tagged along until an appropriate FJ/FJR was sourced ? LOL
I really wish I still had the RD250LC Dads FJ, but sadly I sold it many years ago.. It's strange all the Yamaha' I have owned I regret selling , yet the Kawasaki', and Honda' ( apart from the Honda I am bringing out with me ) I don't really think any more about...
And you are absolutely right about the tea FJmonkey.  The Wife is now addicted to the stuff, so we are bringing out a packing crate full of it..just hope it doesn't get chucked in the bay !!

It's a FJ rally but all are invited and incouraged to go. We have all rode something different over the years.
I hear that some other rallys have more none FJs than FJs, it's all good.
