If interested a few of us are going to WCR on Thursday May 31st... exact times to be determined later but rough guess is to leave La Canada/Flintridge area no later than 10pm.... thinking 9am would be better though.
Here is my proposed trip map 6.5 hours ride time. You can get there quicker if you want but it won't be as fun. Always open for ideas if you got them. I wanted to incorporate a ride I saw in this months FRICTION ZONE... ( Lake Isabella portion).
San Dimas Mike - FJ monkey I know are in... so have a look and let us know if interested in riding with us. I recommend the rally to all newcomers so if you are part of the site and live in LA LA land ...lets go!

Not sure how we are going, have to go up to Randys to pick the bike up, and then it depends on what Marsh has organised, but it has been said I'm very easy :rofl2:

Hey Steve, sorry, I can not commit.....I don't know what time Paul and I will be leaving the desert.
If we leave at 5am, it put us right smack dab in the middle of the 210 morning crush.
I have found that if we leave at ~8:30am, it puts us on the 210 at ~10:00am, after the morning traffic, so I suspect we will miss the morning rendezvous with your group.

Pat -- our leave time is flexible so if it means missing you we can change the time. If you are interested just let me know and we can change things as it is not a big thing to move it forward -- 10am would work for me fine as I am coming from Oceanside so I will suffer the same fate as you if I leave early.
NOTE - to all -- lets change the TIME to leave at or around 10 To 10:30. Let me know Pat if that puts you in.

Hope it works out Pat...would love to have you and Paul along. I noticed in my first post I put 10pm instead of 10am -- but even if it is later it will be ok as the ride to Porterville even going the long way is only 6 hours... we will be there for dinner even with photo stops along the way.

What time do you think you guys might hit the right hand turn off of 58 onto Bealville Rd.? I will be east bound 58 from San Luis Obispo and it takes about an hour and forty minutes to get to Bako...
Would be fun to join you guys for the ride up through Lake Isabella....

You guys are in for a treat, that ride on the 155 from Wofford Heights across to Glenville is fantastic and for those coming up through Bakersfield on the 5, turn off on the 178 along the Kern Canyon road to Wofford Heights then take the 155 across to Porterville.
It's really thrilling, scenic ride, well worth the extra distance.

Tim - why don't you come down the road just a little be to the Keene Store Cafe --- that way if we are a little off schedule or you are a little off schedule you can grab some lunch - drinks rest. this map show we would be 2hrs 46 minutes from the Keene Store Cafe... so we will say 3 hours. It will be where we stop for lunch so that will give us / you 30-45 minute window to meet up with us.

Our plan is to leave around 10am La Canada so that would put us at the Keene Store Cafe at 1pm -- If you give me your cell I can text you with updates with our arrival time. I will have my GPS going so the updates will be close to the times I can send you. AS a bonus if you get there early back track through our route and check out the Techachpi Loop -- wait for a train to go through. PM me with your cell info if you want.
To all --- If interested in leaving LA with us plan to meet at 10am at Hill Street Cafe, 1004 Foothill Blvd;La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011. Arrive a little early and get a coffee etc if you want ...we will plan to leave at 10am so plan accordingly.
