Title: RPM Oil Filter Conversion/Adapter
Post by: terryk on May 09, 2012, 08:46:30 PM
Purchased the Oil filter adapter and switched to a spin on Wix filter.

Purchased both from RPM. Excellent service and super high quality parts.

Easy job and makes the task of changing oil so much easier. Like the product very much.

well worth the effort, and can buy the filters just about any auto store or garage

I've been thinking about getting one of these too.

And also the LED smoked taillight with the turn signals.  Anybody have one of these?  Pros... cons?

I'm after the same taillight as you, but I was wondering what the mods were to install it?

There are no major modifications required for the tail light installation. The two corners of the underside of the tail section must be relieve slightly to fit, but everything else is bolt & wire up to stock points.

No cutting or drilling required.

The oil filter adapter is a bolt on replacement without any modifications.

The stock items can be bolted back on and there will not evidence either part was ever installed.

I have installed the spin on oil filter from RPM, and I agree, much easier to deal with than the original. I also installed the smoke led tail light/indicator, very easy and tidys up the rear end just beautifully.

If you go to www.RPMracingCa.com (http://www.rpmracingca.com) you can see pictures as well as a video of the tail light in operation.
