Title: Goldwing Bags
Post by: FJNovaScotia on April 27, 2012, 08:30:38 AM
Thought I would add my modification to the site:

I modified 1982 Goldwing bags and welded up a rack to mount them to.   Pictures below:

Rough fitting

You did a good job. They look nice.

Be mindful that vibrations can crack welds and cause metal fatigue fractures.

I like the paint color, too.

Looking good!  It took me a minute to notice that the stock turn signals had been filled in - looks good in that color!

Gold Wing bags are on the way. I've been scoping out different OEM bags for a while now. I just can't find the time to make my own. I like the looks of these, thanks for breaking the ice. It looks like the fiberglass stuck to the plastic OK. It will be nice not having everything strapped to the back of the seat and rear cowl. I guaranty that your paint work will be better than mine.....
